Elder Parker Weese - Denmark Copenhagen Mission

Christmas Skype with Elder Weese - 12/25/2015

On Christmas Day we received the best gift ever...we were able to Skype with Parker for an hour!! We had been looking forward to this all month long and we were so happy to be able to see our missionary and talk to him. He looked so happy & the light of Christ shined all about him. He seriously would light up every time he'd share a story about his mission or talked about the members in his branch. One of my favorite things he told us was about an investigator they met named Andre'. As a mom, I was so touched to see the emotion in his face when he talked about how far this man had come and how much he hoped for him to continue the progress and be baptized. Parker was also able to introduce us to the family that he had shared Christmas with and who was making it possible for us to Skype. We are so grateful to this family for sharing their home with our dear elder on Christmas!! We had some great laughs as he told us about his landlord coming over to fix their furnace in nothing but a hoodie, that was way too short!! Apparently nudity is not a big deal in Denmark!! Parker shared his testimony with us in Danish and I couldn't believe how strong the spirit was when he spoke. I'm so proud of the way he has worked through the trials of a mission and stayed motivated to work hard. Over 100 days ago we dropped off our son at the Provo MTC and to see the man he has become in those 100 days is so amazing!! He is filled with the spirit and his relationship with our Heavenly Father has become the most important thing in his life. As parents we couldn't be prouder!! We love you Elder Weese!!!
